Calling all tango dancers. And Yogis who would like to be dancers—and dancers who would like to Yogis. All are welcome to join Cassandra 'Yoga para Tango' classes and workshops, inspired by the movement and music of Argentine tango. Some think of dance as a moving meditation, a chance to connect, let go, find balance and be present in the moment. Like yoga, dancing can be a chance to find balance in our bodies.
Classes combine therapeutic elements with traditional yoga movements, woven together with the movement of Argentine tango.
Classes will explore the balance of strength and flexibility needed in the body during and after the leaving dance floor with particular emphasis on core strength, twisting and balance. Gain more freedom in your body and your dance. Your feet, knees, and hips will thank you later. No tango heels required.
All levels welcome. No previous experience with Argentine tango (or dance) is required, only be prepared for the music and inspiration of the dance. Dancers of other styles are also welcome.
